Freedom Fridays

Fridays are for…

We’ve moved to Oklahoma y’all!

Sorry, I dropped off there for a while again. My home was for sale, then I took it off the market, and then it went under contract. After a lot of tears and terrifying thoughts, I found a cute cute cute fixer upper in OK, and over the last few months, I’ve made this cute little place my new home.

How was your week? Did you get a lot accomplished? Did you have enough time and energy to do your weekly tidying?

Weekdays can be busy and if you don’t have time to do your tidying during the week, you can always catch up on the weekend. Make your tidying schedule work for you.

If tidying during weekdays is impossible for you then make the weekends your reset days. Here are some days-of-the-week action steps, so that you can have all of your free time for traveling, cooking, or just laying in bed.

Freedom Filled Friday - Well, Monday’s, Tuesday’s, Wednesday’s, and Thursday’s tasks have come and gone, and Friday, if you have time, is for giving yourself a freebie to catch up on a task that you missed from the week, do a tidying task that you love more than the others, or to not do any tidying projects at all. You can still make your bed, put the junk mail in the recycle bin, and keep all the new good habits that you’ve acquired up to now. Friday is for taking some time to enjoy the outdoors or rest and relax in your home even though it might not be all the way tidy. Our minds love creativity so enjoy your day and have fun with whatever you’re doing. t

**On a side note, I came up with Freedom Filled Friday when I realized, while unpacking and moving into my new home here in Oklahoma, that you can’t spend every day working so hard to make things perfect and not take a break. This little house needed endless hours of TLC before I could even unpack. Every day I was scrubbing, washing, and detailing every square inch and my body and mind became very overwhelmed. After being here for two weeks my grandfather passed away and I had to make a trip back to Colorado which forced me to take a break. When I arrived back home I finished cleaning and finally was able to unpack, just in time to get sick for six weeks, another much-needed break. I think all the emotional overwhelm caused my body to force me to rest. I’m happy to report that my home is now cute and cared for but needs some painting and a bit of updating. The above photo is of my lovely kitchen.
