I am a wildflower

I moved to Oklahoma for many reasons, one of them being to become a paid artist. I’ve painted since I was in second grade and it has stayed with me ever since. It is a way of expressing an inner nudge that reminds me of where I’m at in my journey. Sometimes a landscape feels right to paint, other times an abstract that captures the feeling of a song that I was listening to, sometimes a dog or a beautiful face will inspire me, and lately it has been wild flowers with beautiful bright colors.

I am constantly reminded why engaging in my creativity is vitally important to maintaining my physical and emotional equilibrium. It’s what keeps me moving forward towards the goal of loving myself and the creator.

I don’t know if I’ll become a paid artist on the outer but on the inner I am a Monet, a Renoir, a Van Gogh, and I am paid in contentment, awe, bliss, and splendor of what I am creating.

Happy Summer Soulstice!
